Primary Skill:  OpenStack, good knowledge of Terraform
Type: Contract, full time engagement, US hours and also India regular hours. Onsite KT for 1 or 2 weeks. Work from home/full remote if itsUS hours. For India hours -  hybrid remote possible. No moonlighting candidates
Duration: 6-12 months, extendable. Long term prospects.
Experience/ Hands-on: Hybrid cloud and OpenStack is client’s choice, hence good implementation and configuration skills plus terraform skills
 
Experience/Skills
8-9 years of experience in proficient in Linux (Debian and RedHat derivatives)
Hands-on experience in OpenStack and OpenStack advanced technical skills, and careful planning to address the challenges effectively
Ensuring OpenStack scale effectively without degradation in performance as the number of nodes, services, and users increases.
Ensuring compatibility between various components of OpenStack, and other integrated services or applications
Designing systems that are fault-tolerant and can handle failures of individual components without service disruption
Ensuring data is consistently replicated and can be quickly recovered in the event of a failure
Managing complex networking scenarios that involve software-defined networking (SDN), and integrating with various network providers and technologies
Performing upgrades without downtime or service disruption in infrastructure where services are distributed across many datacenters
Quickly identifying and resolving issues in a complex environment, which requires a deep understanding of the architecture and interactions between components
Bachelors or Master’s Degree preferably in Engineering, Computer Science, Statistics
Strong knowledge of Linux networking and preferably SDN (Software Defined Networking)
Ability to code (Bash, Python, Ansible, Git)
Experience with storage systems
Strong knowledge of high availability and load balancing
Strong understanding of cloud computing concept
