Description

Merck is an American multinational pharmaceutical company and one of the largest pharmaceutical companies in the world.

Data Acquisition is integration of Activity, Sales, Customer, Products, Event etc. data to drive actionable insight to create unique competitive advantage for marketing, increase revenue and to improve marketing strategy.

 

 

 

 

Roles & Responsibilities: -

• Design and Code application components in an Agile environment utilizing a test-driven development approach.
• Onboard data from various source systems into local data warehouse using cloud native ingestion architecture.
• Participate in calls with business analysts, stakeholders and convert their requirement into Technical Design documents and lead the development team to meet and deliver the expectations.
• Develop lambda functions typically in Python to create utilities for various use cases.
• Develop complex sql queries using unions, joins, windows functions etc to validate data quality and analyse data issues.
• Write IAM policies for different roles.
• Automate ETL with AWS glue.
• Work on CI/CD pipeline using Jenkins and GIT to automate migration of code into higher environments.
• Deploy and Schedule dags using Airflow.
• Prepare handover documents, manage SIT with oversight of UAT and Production Implementation.

• Conduct POCs on latest AWS features to leverage in the existing system, thereby reducing cost without impacting performance.
