Description: The directorate of Economics and Statistics (DES), an attached office of the Department of Agriculture, Cooperation and Farmers Welfare (DAC&FW), is headed by a Senior Economic & Statistical Adviser. DES collects, disseminates, and publishes statistics on diverse facets of agriculture and related sectors required for policy formulation by the Government. The main objective of the Directorate is to provide important statistics on area, production, land use, cost and yield of principal crops, minimum support prices, to implement schemes related to the improvement of agricultural statistics, and to carry out agro-economic research as well as generation and dissemination of agricultural statistics and research and analysis.

The services provided by the Portal to the department are:

1. Management and tracking of all crop production district-wise and season-wise.

2. Management and reporting of Land used for Land irrigation, forest last, agricultural land for food crops, and non-food crops.

3. Wages management for all types of skilled and unskilled workers.

4. Price management for all crops for retail price, Foreign pricing and wholesale pricing
